| We have discovered that spirituality is something essential for our human and Christian identiy (*Espiritualidad laical de Fe y Justicia). Spirituality is nothing but living according to the spirit of Jesus: a style of being which covers all the dimensions of ourselves and all the moments of our own personal history. In other words, spirituality means to live our lifes allowing the spirit of Jesus to recreate and transform it. All this makes us value the spiritual dimension that our body and history have as God’s intercessions.
That is why the spirituality of Faith and Justice is linked to our own lifes, to the activities and work we do and to the community experience. Our spirituality feeds from the search for God’s kingdom in these fields and “grows together with the successes and failures, difficulties and good decisions which a loving and strong devotion brings along” (*Ideario 16). Our spirituality looks for the human being’s prime of life.
In our opinion, prayer is not the only way to develop this spirituality but it is very important in our lifes. We consider prayer to be an space and time of silence, of attentive listening to God’s voice which is present in the texts of the Holy Bible, in the history of the humans and in our own history too. We want to be men and women who pray deeply, tenderly and frequently. Without prayer, the life and action’s spirituality is nothing but good desires and a nice theory.
